Released in 2005, Wise Hedonist is the debut album of KHIGH: the milestone, the accomplishment and fulfillment of an intricate vision derived from the extreme musical passions of his founder Kris who mainly guitarist and singer, but pianist and multi-instrumentalist as well, had a strong wish to build the ultimate heavy rock machine. 
This CD showcases an innovative style, far from labels or cliches and represents the arrival point of a complex experience made of musical research and opposite emotions with a direct approach.

Gutsy music ranging from the eighties to modern rock, tasty solos and deep lyrics only partially describe what Wise Hedonist is about.
Diverse influences, a huge amount of heavy riffs and the arrangements are at times a punch in the teeth or a sweet lullaby to take easy with. Just different feelings in a work that has it all, professionally presented and distributed by Power Play Records.

The inception of the project KHIGH reflects the will and influences of his founder Kris who started gathering a few professionals to form a new band that could leave a real mark with its production and live on stage. 
What derived from the first studio session was "Liquid DEMO" an 8-song promo that demonstrated the capabilities of an act showcasing a very personal heavy rock influenced by a lot of disparate genres that can truly be considered the beginning of the KHIGH sound: pure riffs with a wide musical vision.

The distribution of this demo CD around the world brought the interest of some labels to the band that would re-record and include a lot of this material on the debut album Wise Hedonist out for Power Play Records.

This 6-song demo (+ intro & outro) was neither released nor presented to the public, but can surely be considered the ancestor of KHIGH, a one-man-band where each instrument was played by Kris. The choice to record this CD with no engineering was aimed to understand the full potential of this innovative style with no production tricks and the result is a pure energetic explosion including raw versions of some tracks appearing on Wise Hedonist. In a past interview these were the words about the original idea:

"I wanted the listeners to catch the feelings and the musicians appreciate an unusual guitar approach that’s gonna be my trademark no matter what the production is. I got tired with guitarists sounding all the same and I didn’t want my record to sound like a bunch of heavy riffs merged together. [...] My lyrics are about philosophical topics about my intuitions and represent the ending part of a complete artistic sentence".
